Live Event Painting by Katie Geis
Live event painting to be completed during the Speakeasy Gala by Katie Geis, a Milwaukee-based independent artist. This piece is created on an Arches watercolor board, 18"x24". Katie primarily paints in acrylic and watercolor, but occasionally dabbles with oils in her studio. Her love for the creative process began when she was very little and spent time with her great-grandmother, Pauline Fanscher, who was an exceptionally talented artist and shared her love for art with Katie every chance she had. Her style incorporates vibrant colors and frequently draws inspiration from her beloved California. She currently splits her time doing art therapy in nursing homes, private one-on-one lessons, commissioned work for clients, and live-event paintings.
